What are you doing this Saturday???

Award Season has arrived once again. The Academy Awards, better known at The Oscars, will be aired on Sunday, February 25, 2007 at 8pm EST. If you haven’t had the opportunity to see any or all of The Best Picture Nominees for this year, AMC theaters have your chance.

On Saturday, February 24, 2007, The AMC theaters will hold screenings of all five Best Picture Nominees consecutively. This year, the nominees are Babel, The Queen, The Departed, Letters From Iwo Jima, and Little Miss Sunshine.

The theaters are offering the screenings of the five films plus a large popcorn, large drink, free refills on both all day and a collectible pass featuring all five films for only $30. Click here to find a participating theater: AMCTheatres.com/promos/showcase

The screenings are scheduled to begin at 11am and will run until approximately midnight. There doesn’t appear to be any time between screenings, however. So, eat a big breakfast and plan on eating popcorn and candy for the rest of the day. Or try to choose a theater that carries food items like pizza or fries.

This is a great idea and a great price. I hope The AMC Theaters will make this an annual tradition.
