Fangoria’s Annual Convention is coming.

Each year, Fangoria, the premiere horror movie magazine, holds three different horror conventions. The first is in Chicago, the second in New Jersey and the third in the Los Angeles area. This year, there is currently no Fango con scheduled for New Jersey. The Chicago Fango con takes place February 23 through 25 at the Wyndham Hotel. The Los Angeles area Fango con will be held Burbank, California at the Airport Hilton and Towers May 18 through 20.

I will be attending the Chicago Fango con. There are several special guests, events and contests scheduled. I am most looking forward to the appearance of Troma creator Lloyd Kaufman and Twisted Sister frontman, host of Fangoria radio and horror aficionado Dee Snider. I am also excited to see previews of Romero’s Diary of the Dead and the Rodriguez-Tarantino collaboration Grind House. I am also interested to view the costume contest.

As much as I am a huge geek for comics and horror films, I have never attended a Comi-con or a Fango con. I am really looking forward to going to my first convention. I am sure it will be an amazingly good time.
