Peyton Manning and his crew of underachieving overachievers may have finally one-upped their nemesis by beating the smuggest team in the NFL, the hoodie-led Patriots. Interestingly though, it comes the year after superstar running back Edgerrin James bolted to the desert for the warm weather and the big bucks.  James loss was Joseph Addai's gain though, as the pass-first Colts actually improved their running game en route to their first Super Bowl (as the Indianapolis Colts).

Although this current Bears squad has never been to the Super Bowl, Chicago has won the big game before. In the 1985/6 season, led by the mighty Ditka, Da Bears beat the pre-smug Patriots with the help of Jim McMahon and a man nick-named after a household appliance. This year, the Bears are back in the Super Bowl. Led by Lovie Smith with the help of Jim McMahon 2 (Rex Grossman) and a man nick-named after a military vehicle (Tank Johnson).

MyCityBuzz Staff Picks:

Bears 38, Colts 24
MVP: Brian Urlacher
"Now, don't get me wrong. I like Peyton Manning. I like his story, I like the way he manages a game, I like how every time he throws a pass, we get a reaction shot of the Manning family skybox. But, Peyton Manning and the Colts are going to lose the Super Bowl. As cliche as it is to say, defense wins championships. This year's Bears D has been dominant all season. It's the reason that they're in the Super Bowl in the first place. Rexy G. only has to be marginally decent on the offensive side of the ball, just enough to cushion that inevitable 4th quarter Colts comeback."
-Jeff Hatline

Colts 34, Bears 17
MVP: Reggie Wayne
"The real Rex Grossman shows up, and Peyton finally shakes the "choke" label he's had his entire career. I picked the Colts because I bet on a Colts win and, oh yeah, Jon Kitna is still a better quarterback than Rex Grossman."
-Art "Hates You" Michalski

Bears 35, Colts 28
MVP: Thomas Jones

"It’s an outdoor stadium with natural grass and it will benefit Chicago. I think the run game will be unstoppable. Plus, with this score and the current spread, people will be pissed…ha ha."

-Jerrod Rothey

Bears 38, Colts 34

MVP: Thomas Jones

-Rod Fournier

Colts 31, Bears 21
MVP: Peyton Manning
-Terry "T-Money" Cottrell
