Yeah, I'll be there. Did you see the article in the paper today that said the Lions would have had the 2nd overall pick if they would have just lost to New Orleans?

The Lions can't even get that right. The Saints were like the birthday piñata this year; everyone got a good beating on them. I hear the Saints might trade the pick, think the Lions have a shot?

It would be nice if the Lions did trade up so they could try to get one of the two guys I really like in this draft - Mario Williams, the DE from NC State or D'Brickashaw Ferguson, a 6' 6", 312 pound offensive lineman from Virginia. I don't think Millen would trade up to get that spot though, if he had to give up anything significant. He's from the school that thinks the more picks you have, the better. I don't know why you'd want to draft a bunch of guys that might make special teams if they're lucky.

Matt Millen could have all 32 picks in the first round, and still wouldn’t do crap with them once they’re on the team. BTW, I've still got my "Fire Millen" sign from the Cincinnati game. I think I’m going to break that out on Saturday. I would be weary to take any guy named D'Brickashaw... Mario Williams could be decent, but let's face it, if the Lions draft him, he's gettin' burned just like every other Lions secondary player. But I don't think that Mario Williams will go above Reggie Bush, let alone Matt Leinart and Vince Young.

Bush is the No. 1 pick for sure, but Williams has a good chance at going pretty high. In fact, I'm going to make a few bold predictions right now.

As for the Lions, I'm still saying they break the trend and draft Michael Huff from Texas. Matt Millen can’t be that stupid, or can he?

Oh, he can and he will. No matter who the Lions pick, he'll underachieve like all the rest. But I guess we'll have to wait until Saturday to find out. I should be there on time but with the way they run the picks, even if I'm an hour late I'll show up as Tagliabue is saying "And with the second pick in the 2006 NFL Draft...."

And no matter what Tagliabue does say at that point, the New York fans will boo loudly. And once it's the Jets or Giants pick, they'll boo even worse! No wonder they don't ever have any good teams in New York.

If you're late, you have to buy the season tickets for the Lions for next year so you can spend a bunch of money on something and leave unfulfilled… That's the story of my life.
