How do you feel about starting up a virgin? I’m dating this girl right now and she’s a 25 year old virgin. We’ve been dating for about 2 months and she’s very enthusiastic about having sex. She said that she’s never been with anyone who she could picture herself losing her virginity to. I was just wondering if you could give me a little insight.

Well, it really depends. Personally, I think I would rather wash all the curtains and blinds in my apartment than “start up a virgin.” Not that there’s anything wrong with being a virgin, I’m just not so into the idea right now of training a sex partner. I probably would not enjoy it, but then again, sex with a male virgin is different than sex with a female virgin. If she's really into the idea, if she's of legal age, and if she has decided that losing her virginity to you is a good idea - I see no reason why not to have sex with her.

One of the most important things about having sex with a virgin is that you need to be prepared for any and all emotional repercussions. My suggestions are two fold - 1) wear a condom and use lots of a good quality lubricant; 2) try to give her at least one orgasm before actually moving on to intercourse.

And PLEASE remember - if you do have sex with this virgin, you will be shaping her view of what sex is like. Potentially, you also will be molding her into the perfect sex partner for you. By giving her as much pleasure as possible before moving on to intercourse, you will be setting an open and easy pattern for her to explore both herself and your relationship sexually. Be tender and caring and make sure to ask her things like, "what would you like to try?" or “will you show me what you like?” Let her be in charge and you should play the role of a very horny cheerleader.

Miss Single, How’s your quest for quitting smoking coming along?

It’s coming along. I’m at one week without cigarettes. I’ve gone through two cases of Diet Cherry Vanilla Dr. Pepper. This weekend, I holed up in my apartment with a bunch of new movies from Netflix (I totally suggest renting “Hustle and Flow” if you haven’t seen it), a bunch of Nicorette gum, incense, candles, and a brand new toy.

Unfortunately, most of the movies that I rented all have characters who chain smoke. I decided that every time I felt the desire for a smoke, I would simply take some nice and enjoyable time for myself. One week later, I’m sore. Quitting smoking is rough, but at least I have a far-away smile on my face.
