After 7 years away and
a couple of other more than just side projects later, the guys in Stone Temple Pilots are
back for one of the biggest reunion tours that will hit North America in
2008. The band’s 65-date reunion tour is set to launch May 17th at one
of the biggest rock festivals of the summer, the 2-day Rock On The Range in Columbus, OH. The band recently did a
launch event at Harry Houdini’s old mansion in Hollywood, where
the band dished out 7 songs and gave everyone a little taste of the
STP void that's been missing for the past seven years. All the members, singer Scott Weiland (fresh from his exit in Velvet Revolver), the DeLeo brothers (Robert and Dean, presumably done with Army of Anyone for now) and drummer Eric Kretz, the Pilots are back for dates that will last them through the end of the year. For us Midwesterners, there are several dates on the horizon for the band. STP headlines the first night of the Rock on the Range festival in Columbus and will hit the following cities in the Detroit and Chicago area: May 20th - State Theater - Cleveland, OH May 22nd- Chicago- Charter One Pavillion on Northerly Island- Tickets are $45.50 and are still available. June 3rd- The Fillmore Detroit- Tickets are SOLD OUT July 18th-
Soaring Eagle Casino- Mt. Pleasant, MI. Tickets TBA and will be
available at www.starticketsplus.com. For more tour information and dates in your area, check out www.stonetemplepilots.com. |
