ImageFRIDAY & SATURDAY
Chris Rock @ Fox Theatre - After his top-notch Never Scared tour and comedy special a few years back, the biggest name in stand-up comedy is back with two shows at the Fox Theatre this weekend. Rock is out supporting his new No Apologies album release and even if it's half as good as Never Scared, fans will be in for a highly entertaining show. Some tickets remain for both shows, which range from $45-$55 and are available at www.olympiaentertainment.com.

FRIDAY

W.A.S.P.@ Harpos - Lead singer Blackie Lawless may not seem as scary as in his 80s heyday and original guitarist Chris Holmes might have drank himself to death, but the shock rock band from the 80s still carries on. The band is out supporting last year’s Dominator album. Tickets are $15 and are available at www.ticketmaster.com.

Wednesday 13 @ The Machine Shop - The former Murderdolls frontman continues on with his solo jaunt where he brings his horror rock to Flint-town. Mr. 13 is preparing to release his Skeletons record, due out sometime later this year. Tickets are $20 and are available at www.etix.com.

Simple Plan @ St. Andrew’s Hall - After a three year hiatus, the Montreal band is back with a new self-titled record. The album debuted surprisingly well on the Billboard charts last week, where it debuted at #13. The music still carries their tradition of punk-pop without getting all that emo on us. Tickets are $18 and are available at www.ticketmaster.com.

Lez Zeppelin @ The Magic Bag - The all-female Led Zeppelin cover band recently fooled a lot of people when their name appeared on the Bonnaroo lineup. People started planning a pilgrimage to Tennessee, thinking Plant, Page and Jones were gonna play together again. Too bad folks… But if you want to hear some Zeppelin tunes now instead of potentially seeing the real deal late this year, this will be your best chance. Tickets are $15 and are available at www.themagicbag.com.

SATURDAY

Winger @ Harpos - Sorry, we couldn’t stop laughing at the fact that Winger is coming to Harpos this weekend. There are just too many visions of Stuart from “Beavis & Butthead” running through our heads. Plus, that “Seventeen” song is creepy as all hell. Tickets are $15 and are available at www.ticketmaster.com.

Sia @ Magic Stick - After the semi-success of her single “Breathe Me” a couple of years ago, the Australian singer is back with a recently released record Some People Have Real Problems. By the look of the album cover art; it looks like anyone who draws on themselves really does have real problems. Just kidding, or not… Tickets are $12.50 and are available at www.ticketmaster.com.
