89X puts on its 10th
Christmas bash tonight at the Fillmore Detroit. This year marks the first time the event has been scaled down to a venue of the Fillmore's size after last year’s My Chemical Romance headlining act at Cobo Arena. This year features Arizona alt-rock favorites Jimmy Eat World, who are promoting their brand new Chase
The Light album and hit single “Big Casino.” Even
though they were just through last month, Coheed & Cambria is hitting the Fillmore again. This time is the band playing strictly an
acoustic set and supporting their No World For Tomorrow
record. It will be interesting to see the band turn down their fury
for a toned down performance; should probably still be pretty good.
The exciting New Orleans band Mute Math opens the show and will
probably wipe (ugh) Paramore off the stage after them.
Tickets are SOLD OUT.
