FRIDAY Fair to Midland @ Machine Shop - This Dallas band is making another trip through Michigan, as it hits Flint for a low-dough show at the Shop. Their new single “Tall Tales Taste Like Sour Grapes” is starting to make headway at radio. Its one of the band’s last dates before heading back on home for the holidays and before they begin to tour again in ’08. Tickets are $10 and are available through www.etix.com. SATURDAY The Lemonheads @ Blind Pig - Evan Dando’s long time band is still out touring behind last year’s self-titled, which still entrenches the band in all of its alt-rock glory. After drug binges during most of the 90’s, Dando has cleaned up his act but kept writing music. But expect to hear some of the favorites from his early-mid 90’s heyday as well. Tickets are $18 and are available at www.blindpigmusic.com. .
