Information: I am a female, born in Detroit, MI on April 29, 1975. I moved to Lansing, MI at age 8. I attended Michigan State University from 1993 to 1997, graduating in 1997 with honors, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology with an emphasis in media research. Deciding that I could not do research as a career, and thinking creating media would be more useful – and fun! - I moved back to the Detroit area and went to film school. I attended the Motion Picture Institute of MI from 2000 to 2001, graduating in 2001 with honors, earning a Trade Certificate in Film. Soon after graduation, I worked as an Extras Casting Assistant for “8 Mile”. This summer past, I worked as a commercial script writer for Media Design Group in Detroit. I am currently performing clerical work to pay the bills, but also doing freelance work, often as a Unit Production Manager, and also working on a screenplay. I live in Madison Heights, MI with my husband, Paul, of 7-years (that’s the length of our matrimony, not his age!) and 2 cats, Siouxsie and Schmenky (both female). I love watching movies, watching usually at least 3 or 4 a week at home or at friends’, in addition to usually going to the theater at least once per week. I watch movies that I really enjoy repeatedly, enough so that I can quote them verbatim, often entirely. My favorite movie has to be Rocky Horror Picture Show. I met my husband at one of the venues I used to frequent when I was going every Friday and Saturday in 1994. That was the Michigan Theater in Jackson, MI. I love the audience participation! I also am an avid fan of horror films and other cult classics, citing Army of Darkness, Nightmare on Elm Street, Princess Bride and Pootie Tang amongst some of my all time faves. I hope my reviews are helpful, or at least enjoyable.
