Yeah, not much of a shock- Rammstein's show was easily #1 this year. (In Descending Order) 5. Deftones & Dillinger Escape Plan- The Fillmore Detroit: As a massive Deftones fan over the years, I am hyper critical when it comes to this band’s live shows. And quite frankly, the past few times I [...] Avenged Sevenfold and others delivered to a packed out at DTE back on Sept. 9th. Well, I do have to give it to the guys in Avenged Sevenfold: in February, the band played to 12,000+ at the Palace even with a snowstorm laying down 6 inches of snow right before the show and [...] Yeah, one of these bands didn't end up playing the show in Cleveland (hint, it's below Black Dahlia and above Six Feet Under). It was a pretty big weekend for metal in the Detroit area: you had the Summer Slaughter Tour hitting St. Andrew’s Hall on Friday night, followed off by the Rockstar [...] This is a shot from the last time Soundgarden played Chicago. For Detroiters, Soundgarden’s Chicago show was one of the closest chances you got to seeing the reunited grunge band on a tour looking to rekindle the fire of their fans from the 90’s and gain [...] What's with all the covers, guys? The last time Maynard James Keenan’s second most popular band, A Perfect Circle, played in Detroit during their first go around, it was a pretty jam packed show at the Palace back in 2004. Fast forward seven years, and the band is giving it another try [...] Warped Tour brought the teenage masses to Comerica this past Monday. This year’s installment of the Vans Warped Tour is now over with, and with a good sunny and breezy day behind us, I didn’t see as many people burnt out early as I have with Warped Tours in the past. The [...] U2 invaded Spartan Stadium on Sunday in one of their biggest spectacles yet. The last time the East Lansing football stadium hosted a concert was back in 1994 when the Rolling Stones hosted their “Voodoo Lounge” tour. Well, fast forward 17 years and no football championships later for the Spartans, U2 [...] Yep, those wings shot flames in Chicago last night too. To say that it’s been a while since Rammstein last played the United States prior to last December’s show in New York City is an understatement to say the least. It had been since 1999 since the German industrial titans had hit [...] Black Veil Brides and D.R.U.G.S. rocked out a sold out St. Andrew's last week. Not too many cities could host not one, let alone two hometown bands on the band as the always popular AP Tour hit Detroit as the bands hit a sold out crowd of about 1,100 at St. Andrew’s Hall.
