Get Ready to Scream At St. Andrew's

Silverstein and others invade St. Andrew's Friday night.

The name could double as a low grade horror flick and given the poster art for the tour, you could probably give more credence to that notion. This year’s Scream It Like You Mean It Tour is not a horror flick, but a tour heavy on the scream infused punk and pop-punk that gives fans a more up close and personal views of these bands, versus the hot parking lot stages at Warped Tour.

This year’s tour is headlined by the Ontario punk band Silverstein, who just wrapped up a victorious theater run with A Day To Remember. The band currently is promoting a live album. Also included on this year’s tour is South Carolina’s Emery, who is out promoting their box set, which was released back in April. Other bands on the bill include Dance Gavin Dance and the pyromaniac-happy titled I Set My Friends on Fire.

The tour starts in New Jersey on July 8th and hits Detroit the very next day, pulling into St. Andrew’s on Friday, July 9th. This is the start of a slammin’ tour that lasts through August 8th. Check the dates closest to you- some of the bills include bands like The Devil Wears Prada and August Burns Red.

But if you are in the mood for a screaming, wailing and kickin’ good time, get down to St. Andrew’s on July 8th and get nuts to this show.

The Scream It Like You Mean It tour hits St. Andrew’s Hall on Friday, July 9th. Tickets are $18.50 and are available at www.livenation.com. Additional tour dates and updates are available at www.screamitlikeyoumeanit.com.
